Capcom has announced a sequel to its 2007 third person shooter Lost Planet
Lost Planet 2 is set 10 years after the original game, and features jungle environments, a new Gears of War-style cover system, and emphasis on co-op play.
Kenji Oguro, who directed the original Lost Planet, is back on board as director, and is joined by producer Jun Takeuchi, who worked on Resident Evil 5.
“Kenji Oguro, who directed the original Lost Planet, is back on board as director”
“Lost Planet 2 has evolved in a new unique experience that allows players to control various groups of Snow Pirates giving them a variety of different perspectives throughout the journey," read a Microsoft press release. "The developers also felt it was important to listen to the fans and Capcom is proud to announce that a new type of co-op mode will be implemented into the game."
Capcom hasn't yet confirmed to us if Lost Planet 2 will be multiplatform, and there's been no mention of release dates, though you can check out the trailer on Xbox Live Marketplace.
