Bizarre Creations: "More PGR Possible"

The Project Gotham Racing developer has said the franchise has "a lot of life left in it"
Develop Conference, Brighton: Bizarre Creations producer Chris Pickford has confirmed that another entry into the studio’s racing franchise Project Gotham could happen in the future.
“It was getting to be quite a big project – it was getting bigger and bigger, and also harder and harder,” Pickford said of the game during a presentation entitled ‘Evolving the racing franchise’.
“When you start to get franchise fatigue your review scores start to go down”
“Could we have taken it further? Possibly we could have, but also it was whether or not we wanted to. You start getting franchise fatigue, and when you start to get franchise fatigue your review scores start to go down and you have to do crazier things to inject something new.” Bizarre is currently developing combat-racing title Blur.
After Activision acquired Bizarre the studio confirmed PGR4 was the last game it would publish with Microsoft. “I think there’s still a lot of life left in it,” added Pickford, “but it’s anyone’s game now.”
