Verdict
A simulation of a simulation...
If paintballing is your life then finally your day has arrived. Featuring officially licensed equipment and tournament locations, this is the niche sport digitally enhanced on your HDTV. It’s a pretty good feeling, right? Well, no, not really. While Millennium Series is never truly bad, it’s so dull and lacking in excitement that you never get a true sense of why two people would ever get the urge to shoot paint at one another.

The main reason for this sense of tedium is how similar events constantly feel. As dynamic as the career mode would like to pretend it is, in reality expect to be doing the same thing over and over with no kind of reward. Even the ability to upgrade your loadout doesn’t matter. You’re constantly overpowered from the start.
Throw in some odd technical issues – the frame rate is not your friend – and the fact that the AI is as predictable as they come, never doing anything spontaneous, and there is no point buying this game unless you hurl blobs of paint at other fanatics weekly. Even then it’s not worth it: just continue with the hobby you love so much.
Final Verdict
Certainly not terrible, but so dry it’s relatively pointless. If you think videogame paintballing could be fun you may be entertained, but eventually boredom will be your best friend. 4.1/10
