We’ve got Worms! No, not the little parasites that like to live in your gut, as that would be disgusting. No we mean that after what feels like two ice ages, we finally have Team 17’s superb strategy game stored safely on our hard drives. And believe us, it’s not going anywhere. For those who have lived under a rock for the last 20 years and don’t know what Worms is, don’t worry… you’re probably already dead from being crushed by that rock for so long. Everyone else knows that all you do is take your team of four worms and destroy an opposing team with a variety of insane weapons over a number of turns before he does the same to you. It’s an utterly genius concept thanks to the inclusion of exploding sheep, homing missiles, air strikes and Street Fighter special moves.

Beautifully presented and featuring the sort of cutesy visuals that makes you want to tickle the little fellows under the chin, Worms is currently the best multiplayer game available on Xbox Live Arcade and sets new standards for all future titles to beat. We were going to give it a ten, but there are some killer weapons missing from the line-up and we’re convinced that Microsoft is going to make us pay through the nose with a variety of micro transactions. The swines!
