Verdict
Man, what a buzz! (You should be ashamed of yourself, Dave - Ed.)
We’ll get them all out of the way now so you don’t have to spend the rest of this review wincing like you’re at a Roy Chubby Brown gig. This is a cracking effort that has everything under control, taking no liberties so far as quality is concerned. Chuck.

Returning to the realm of sanity for a moment, it’s been a while since we’ve seen a genre so perfectly suited to the characters it’s portraying. From the time this adventure allows you to study character models with virtual fingerprint marks to a wealth of in-jokes and finishing touches, everything slots into place.
From a technical standpoint, it’s a shame Peter Sallis couldn’t have been ushered into the voice recording booth, while the excuse that its poor frame rate comes from trying to ape stop-motion animation wears a little thin. More positively, the conundrums on offer manage to be multi-tiered without straying into illogical territory. There’s even – shock horror – a genuine laugh or two on offer, fully utilising Gromit as the perfect foil he is.
It’s also one of the first Live Arcade efforts in a while not to leave us feeling like some cad’s made off with our money. Come on, what would you rather have? This or Connect 4?

Final Verdict
So what we have, then, is the videogame blanket to crawl into now it’s… uh… warming up again. Bugger. 8.0/10
