Verdict
It has 'panic' in the title. That's only one better than 'zany'...
If Polar Panic looks a little familiar, you’re almost definitely old. That’s because it shares numerous similarities with 1982 arcade title Pengo, only it’s not as good because the lead character’s a bear rather than a penguin. Among several other, more justifiable reasons.

We're panicking just looking at it.
For starters, developers Eiconic seem to have the puzzle and old-school arcade genres mixed up, choosing to impose an arbitrary time limit on gameplay that shouldn’t have one. The result is a dull, listless experience that only offers a challenge due to artificially imposed constraints. Irritating stuff on dual fronts, then.
Just a few seconds’ thought on the fact that gamers could pick up the likes of Worms for the same price or Marble Blast Ultra for even less in enough to bring tears to the eyes of Vinnie Jones. Probably, anyway…

Irritating stuff on dual fronts. 5.1/10
